Successful Girl’s Day at DONAT IT

‘What can we expect from the puzzling escape room today?‘, the ten girls must have asked themselves when they were informed about their upcoming IT adventure at the Girls’ Day welcome at DONAT IT in the morning.

After a presentation with insights into the company, the participants learnt about the different apprenticeships. The students received answers to their questions, valuable application tips and information about their future career start – perhaps even at DONAT IT GmbH – directly from the trainers and trainees.

The practical part of the day then began. The DIY VR goggles were a challenge to assemble, but the fun of using them with our own smartphones was all the greater.

While eating pizza together during the lunch break, the girls were able to reflect on the first part of the day. They also had to recharge their batteries, because afterwards they went straight to the exciting escape room. Tricky IT-related puzzles and a difficult search for clues awaited them there, but this did not stop the young IT girls from solving the escape room.

Of course, an excursion into the world of programming is also a must. With a programming game, the participants not only learnt their first code, but were also able to playfully improve their skills from level to level.

Girls’ Day was a success again this year. We are already looking forward to perhaps welcoming a few new IT girls as trainees soon.
