DONAT IT at the start of regional classic car rally

Last weekend, from June 22 to 24, Bavaria’s most beautiful classic car rally took place through our home region. Naturally, we were represented with several vehicles. Our colleagues were able to apply in advance for the coveted seats in one of the historic vehicles. The participants were then drawn by lot.

Among others, we competed with a BMW 318 i (year of construction: 1991), a BMW 320 i (year of construction: 1991), a VW Karmann (year of construction: 1971) and a Mercedes-Benz 230 SL Pagoda (year of construction: 1965). We completed the rally with our vehicles, which leads through the most beautiful landscapes around the Ingolstadt automobile region. On the two daily stages “Niederbayern-Altmühl-Tour” (Fri) and “Hopfen – Hallertau” (Sat), our riders passed Abensberg, Kelheim, Bad Gögging, Kinding, Altmannstein and other beautiful villages. The race started early in the morning on both days. The teams met for lunch together in Randeck and the next day in Bad Gögging to fortify themselves for the onward journey.

Being there is everything

Our best team, with Managing Director Hans Donat at the wheel, came 47th in the overall standings this year. Congratulations! With a total of 88 ranked teams, this is a great achievement. But our other teams can also be proud of themselves and their performance. Everyone gave their best, but the fun of riding and the shared experience were paramount. It was another successful DONAU CLASSIC weekend for all participants.

We are already looking forward to the sponsorship and the participation of DONAT IT in next year’s classic car rally.
