Christmas Donation 2024
Participation in the ‘Company Christmas Donation’ campaign 2024
Since the beginning of the year, DONAT IT has been supporting the global medical emergency aid organisation ‘Doctors Without Borders’ with an annual donation as a partner company.
As Christmas is regarded as a festival of charity, we have once again decided to make an additional Christmas donation this year. In this year’s Christmas card, DONAT IT’s customers and business partners received information about the ‘Company Christmas donation’ campaign organised by ‘Doctors Without Borders’.
Many things can be made possible with a Christmas donation:
Life-saving care for children: With 4,000 euros, the aid organisation can provide 210 acutely malnourished children with special therapeutic food for four weeks. This is how long the treatment usually takes.
Operations on injured people in acute disasters and conflicts: The organisation can operate on five injured people with 845 euros. That’s how much anaesthesia and surgical materials cost.
Worldwide independent emergency medical aid since 1971
‘Médecins Sans Frontières’ provides emergency medical aid worldwide in crisis and war zones and following natural disasters. The international organization helps quickly, efficiently and unbureaucratically – without asking about the origin, religion or political convictions of the people affected. The teams of doctors, nurses, midwives and logisticians from ‘Doctors Without Borders’ work in more than 70 countries around the world. They treat sick and wounded people, look after malnourished children and provide clean drinking water and latrines.
Next year, we will continue our long-term cooperation with ‘Doctors Without Borders’. In this way, we want to support the organisation in the long term and promote its projects.
